Company Overview
VERYWORDS is a climate tech company with an embedded fintech engine, connecting electric mobility, carbon markets, and financial inclusion in emerging markets. The company began as a climate policy consultancy specializing in carbon markets and expanded into direct project execution in 2022 with the launch of its electric two-wheeler (E2W) business in Cambodia.
VERYWORDS is the project developer behind Korea’s first Article 6.2 mitigation, enabled under the bilateral Article 6.2 agreement between the Korean and Cambodian governments-creating a pathway for verified emissions reductions from electric mobility to become internationally transferable , ITMO-eligible carbon credits.
Headquartered in South Korea, with its own manufacturing facility and fleet operations in Cambodia, VERYWORDS combines electric mobility, IoT data, carbon finance, alternative credit scoring, and digital payments in a single ecosystem. Each connected electric two-wheeler generates operational data that supports both carbon MRV and alternative credit assessment. One mobility asset creates two forms of value: carbon value and credit value.
VERYWORDS has secured carbon-credit pre-purchase arrangements with the Korean government and a major Korean corporation, and is developing a potential carbon-reduction pipeline of up to 5.88 million tCO₂e.
The company is also expanding access to formal finance by using mobility and payment data to build alternative credit profiles for riders with limited credit histories, which VERYWORDS shares with its Climate Finance Partners to support lending decisions.
Main Products
One Asset.
Two Forms of Value. Each VERYWORDS electric two-wheeler is more than a vehicle. It is a connected, data-generating asset that creates carbon value through measurable emissions reductions, and credit value through alternative financial data. This is made possible by VERYWORDS' proprietary four-engine platform, built around its connected electric two-wheelers:
① IoT Asset Management
② Carbon-Linked Finance
③ Alternative Credit Scoring
④ Payment & Subscription Infrastructure Together, these four engines transform mobility data into carbon and financial value.
1. IoT Asset Management: Physical mobility becomes digital data.
VERYWORDS manufactures electric two-wheelers and swappable batteries in Cambodia. Onboard IoT systems monitor vehicle and battery activity in real time, while POPLE Stations, VERYWORDS’ battery-swap and community hubs, continuously generate additional operational data.
2. Carbon-Linked Finance: Mobility Data → Carbon Assets → Financing
Vehicle and battery data feed directly into VERYWORDS’ MRV system, supporting the measurement and verification of emissions reductions. Once verified under the bilateral Article 6.2 agreement, eligible mitigation outcomes can become internationally transferable , ITMO-eligible carbon credits. Through carbon-credit prepurchase agreements, VERYWORDS can convert part of this expected future carbon value into financing today.
3. Alternative Credit Scoring: Mobility Data → Credit Profile → Financial Access
Vehicle usage, battery-swap activity, payment history, and repayment behavior can be used to build alternative credit profiles for riders with limited or no conventional credit history. This gives VERYWORDS' Climate Finance Partners an additional data layer to assess customers who may otherwise be difficult to underwrite.
4. Payment & Subscription Infrastructure
Battery services, memberships, subscriptions, and other mobility transactions create recurring payment records. These transactions generate recurring revenue while continuously strengthening the data used for alternative credit assessment. The result is an integrated ecosystem where mobility, payments, credit, and carbon finance reinforce one another.
